Rising Stars Gala Report

On Saturday 27 January, Aireborough Leisure Centre hosted the first Rising Stars Gala of 2024.
I wanted to share with you a new report that I intend to do after each gala to give you a rundown of how we, ASC and the swimmers performed. Included in the report are entry times, new times, places in their age group and medals where awarded. Feedback in our recent gala survey asked for more detail about disqualifications. This is now given in the report and I encourage you all to speak with your swimming teacher during the week if you need any further explanation or ways to rectify for our next gala.

I'm sure you'll all join me in echoing a big shout out to Kirsty Riley, Emily Waring, Emily Jones, Emma Crombie, Charlotte Ralston, Cllr Jane Dowson and Steve Batty for their incredible support poolside. Many hands make slightly lighter work and our poolside dream team certainly pulled out all the stops to support our 26 participants.
